Jon Eden Technical Director

As Technical Director, Jon oversees all projects and departments whilst taking personal control of the larger events. He started as a Rock’n’Roll Sound Engineer in 1985 and has been involved with Live Events ever since. In his meagre amount of spare time he can be found riding the roads of Yorkshire on his Suzuki, falling of his Trials Bike as a competitor in off-road motorcycle trials and enjoying life with his Wife and three children.

Caine Iles - Senior Project Manager

Caine Iles is the senior project manager for Universallive offering over 12 years worth of experience from within the industry. He has delivered jobs on time and on budget for many clients which include royal visits, multi nation AGM’s and large multi date road shows to name just a few. In his limited spare time he is teaching his 9 year old son to be a golfer and his 1 year old daughter to be a princess.

Mark Ford - Project Manager

Mark began life in the AV industry in The Middle East gaining valuable experience in Saudi Arabia and Dubai before joining Universallive in 2006 as Project Manager. Equally at home in a field or conference venue, Mark has a fierce determination to get the job done well.

Robin Kershaw - Project Manager

Robin has worked in many areas of the live presentation and corporate communications industries over the past 18 years. Coming from an electronics background, his career has taken him to Japan, Russia and throughout Europe. It's rumoured that he can play the mandolin, gets up at 6AM to run several miles and has completed three London Marathons.

Victoria Horsfield - Operations Manager

Vicky joined Universallive in 2004 as a Media Technician, following the completion of her degree in Film & Media Studies.Since then her role has grown to running the Media & Graphics department and General Operations Manager for the office. When she's not at work she is to be found living on a smallholding outside Halifax with her husband, three one-eyed cats and five miniature cattle.

Rob Learmonth - Senior Sound Technician

Robert Learmonth has worked for Universallive since 1999 overseeing the sound department but also having a wide interest in all other aspects of the company. Before joining the company he also worked for a number of different sound and lighting companies in both live and corporate events.
In his spare time he has recently taken up snowboarding and kiting.

Stuart Thornton - Senior Visual Technician

Stuart joined Universallive fresh from university having studied for his BSc in Media Technology & production. Throughout his seven years with the company his enthusiasm for knowledge has continued to grow. Ever the eternal optimist Stuart spends his weekends supporting Halifax Town (he is sure he will see them win one day.)

Pete Bramwell - Senior Lighting Technician

Pete is the Senior Lighting Technician for Universallive and has been working with the company for six years. He started working with lights whilst studying at University and loves the fact that his interest became a career. In his spare time he enjoys watching motorsport and American football as well as riding his motorbike. Out on site he'll be the one wearing shorts whatever the weather!

Kirsty Waine - Senior Manager - Venue Support

Kirsty Waine works for Universallive running the Venue Support department. Before life with us Kirsty spent 7 years working as a theatre lighting and sound technician. Outside work, Kirsty still has a strong passion for theatre, but spends most of her time upholding her title as Stratford-upon-Avon’s Boggle champion.

Marc Allen - Operations Manager - Venue Support

As Operations Manager for the Hotel and Venue support department Marc is constantly kept on his toes by last minute changes to live events across the UK. From this he has become well renowned across the company for his ‘rapid response’ to any given situation. His personal time is spent trying to create a new ‘super group’ comprising of himself on Lead Guitar, his eldest son on Keyboards and Vocals and his youngest son on pots and pans…and a Whistle!

Jennie Houlden - Office Administrator

Jennie is the youngest member of the Universallive family. She is energetic and fun loving and tries to keep the hire office running as smoothly as possible. In her spare time Jennie enjoys snowboarding and of course retail therapy.
