We were approached by our client, an events agency, on behalf of one of the UK’s largest automotive retailers, who represent 14 different luxury car brands across 50+ locations.

The annual conference took place at the Marshall Arena in Milton Keynes, and brought together 450 delegates from prestige car dealerships across the country.

Having delivered almost thirty events for this end client since 2014, we were delighted to be back again doing what we do best!

Having delivered this event multiple times in the past, our PM, Rich Taylor, was very familiar with the client requirements and preferences.

That’s not to say we rested on our laurels and just churned out a copy of previous events – Rich proposed a bespoke solution which the client loved, and presented the solution in both 2D and 3D CAD.

The arena was divided by drapes, to create a reception and break area outside of the main plenary.

The reception area was decorated with banners, which were flown from trusses and lit to ensure visibility.

Forgoing a traditional panel set, a curved 22m wide projection screen was the main focus of the plenary. Four projectors created a seamless blend across the surface. Below the screen, a custom-built stage mirrored the curved look, and was covered in 100% recycled and recyclable carpet.

Beneath the screen, a dozen Robe Pointe intelligent fixtures added colour and interest to the space. From the truss above, many more intelligent LED fixtures created a great atmosphere for the proceedings.

The stage was flanked by two circular low-profile podiums, each with reflective covering and aluminium trim, upon which were parked prestige vehicles. Five additional podiums were situated around the edge of the plenary seating, and delegates were invited to view the vehicles at various opportunities throughout the conference.

Just wanted to drop you a quick note to say thanks again for everything on [the event] last week. Client very happy, …always a pleasure working with you and the crew – very grateful as ever”
