NEW KIT: SHURE AXIENT® DIGITAL WIRELESS MICROPHONE SYSTEM

Here at Universal we love new kit, especially when that kit is at the forefront of technological innovation, quality and sustainability.

The team were therefore very excited to take delivery of our new Shure Axient® Digital Wireless Microphone System recently.

“Why Shure?” We hear you ask.

There are a number of reasons. The first, and most important in delivering flawless events for our clients, is that of audio quality and reliability. Sound is arguably the single most important element of any live event – if your audience can’t hear your message, you may as well not bother.

Shure’s Axient Digital System® delivers crystal clear sound in a variety of challenging conditions, making it an obvious choice when it came to upgrading our system. Today’s world poses a variety of challenges for radio microphone technology, and Axient® Digital performs brilliantly despite the ever-diminishing spectrum availability often encountered in busy locations.

Security is also often high on the agenda for our clients, and the Axient® Digital system doesn’t disappoint here either. Signals are encrypted using a 256-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), ensuring they can’t be intercepted.

Our Innovation & Sustainability Lead, Neil Clappison, explains why Axient® Digital also makes sense from the point of view of sustainability “With a goal of making the company as eco-friendly as it can possibly be, another reason for selecting Shure Axient® Digital was to reduce the reliance on AA batteries.” Neil explains “This is an important step for us, along with our other initiatives such as recycling 100% of our event carpet and graphic prints, installing solar panels, switching to electric transport, and harvesting rainwater.”

Stuart Thornton, our Hire Manager and resident Peli Case enthusiast, created practical solutions for racking and storing the units, enabling our PM team to spec the system flexibly to suit any event. Whether your event is in a small meeting room or a large arena, we’ve got it covered.

Stu went on to say “What impressed us most about the Axient® Digital Wireless System was the ability for it to be fully secure, which is essential for our clients who need to know they can’t be intercepted. The quality of the sound reproduction is the best I have heard on the market at this time, and the easy to navigate software is great. It just does what we need it to do with the highest quality and excellent reliability”.

Once we’d received our system, we also arranged training with Shure at our Head Office, ensuring all our techs were up to speed with the latest technology before heading out on site.

“Another important advantage of choosing Shure is the assurance of professional and friendly support and training,” Stuart added, “Guidance from Dave Philips was of great use to us, he helped specify the items we needed and also delivered training at our Head Office once the units were with us”
