The Director's Cut 2018

We take a look back at some of our highlights from 2018. Let’s see what made Universal Live’s 2018 Director’s Cut, enjoy!

2018 stats

We delivered our biggest event to date, utilising 295 master technicians and local team crew. Beating off the snow in March to deliver the six venue simultaneous live feed event attended by over 10,000 people. This was a real team effort from conception to delivery.

This year we invested in the state of the art equipment including the Hippotizer Boreal+ which allows us to do incredible things with video content. With a whole host of features, including 4 x 4k output, it is the ultimate media server/video processor.

We also, invested in Oculus Go headsets which have assisted us in the development of our graphics department output, allowing us to render our 3D set visuals into virtual reality – enabling our clients to experience their event before it is built.

NEAC Stoneleigh appointed us as their technical production partner. A partnership which we are very much looking forward to growing and developing together.

The venue partnership (VP) department went to summer school, VP training school where they furthered their knowledge of technical production, health and safety, best practices and sales skills.

We got all interactive with this touch screen projection wall which allowed users to change the sequence of the projection. We have been developing exciting interactive prototypes over the past few months so keep an eye out for them in 2019 one of them may include fruit…?

It’s safe to say that we have had one hell of a year! Thank you to all of our clients, suppliers and our team for joining us on our journey and we look forward to our next steps together.

What will 2019 in the events industry bring? Who knows but we are predicting an increase and development of facial recognition, creative and wellness zones and clever flooring solutions.

For now, happy holidays from all of here at Universal Live!
